Andrew holds Bachelor of Science (Hons) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) degrees and was admitted to practice in Victoria in April 2012.  Andrew joined Meridian Lawyers as a Senior Associate in the Melbourne office in December 2016 and has experience in public and product liability, general insurance and commercial litigation.

Andrew has represented a range of insurers, manufacturers, councils, sporting associations, water authorities, owners/occupiers and numerous organisations in a wide variety of claims. These included product liability litigation, public liability, occupier’s liability, municipal liability (including recovery proceedings on behalf of insurers), property damage (including Water Act and nuisance claims), and contractual disputes (including Fair Trading Act claims and policy indemnity disputes).

His expertise also includes defamation, industrial accidents, transport accidents (including TAC recovery proceedings) and employer/contractor liability (Accident Compensation Act claims and VWA recovery proceedings).

Andrew has experience in preparing and conducting trials in various Victorian jurisdictions, including the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates’ Court, Coroner’s Court and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. He has also gained considerable experience advising clients in respect of liability, quantum, policy coverage/indemnity and contractual interpretation, in addition to non-litigious matters regarding strategy and prospects of litigation.

Prior to joining Meridian, Andrew practised at a global firm, including a secondment to the London Litigation and Regulatory team.

Andrew is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Insurance Law Association.
