Georgina has more than 25 years’ experience as a corporate and commercial lawyer. She acts for a range of business clients from pharmacists, education and care services, dentists, veterinary practitioners, medical practices, and private hospitals to independent schools and national peak body associations.
Georgina handles the sale and acquisition of businesses and companies particularly in the health and childcare sectors, and prepares a wide range of commercial agreements including partnership, shareholder and buy/sell agreements, software licensing agreements, terms and conditions of business (including for online businesses), privacy policies, data breach response plans, and contracts for services.
In pharmacy law, she acts for pharmacists in applications for approvals under the Pharmacy Location Rules (including expansions and contractions of pharmacies), as well as for pharmacists wishing to oppose such applications, including reviews by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal. She also advises on franchise and buying group agreements.
Georgina acts for childcare operators across Australia facing allegations of non-compliance with the Education and Care Services National Law and National Regulations, and the Family Assistance Law. Her work includes preparing responses to Show Cause Notices and Notices of Intention to sanction, and applications for internal and external review of government decisions, including merits reviews by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
Georgina regularly delivers CPD presentations at pharmacy industry events such as the Australian Professional Pharmacy Conference, and Pharmacy Connect. She also delivers CPD training for the Australian Dental Association, and Education and Care National Law compliance training for childcare operators and educators.
