Tighan is focused on delivering pragmatic, high-quality, and cost-effective solutions for her clients. With more than 15 years’ experience, Tighan has an in-depth understanding of the insurance and health law space.
Tighan has represented a variety of healthcare professionals in civil proceedings, coronial investigations and inquests, Medicare audits, private health fund audits, and disciplinary investigations and proceedings. Her knowledge and experience of health law enables her to provide timely, comprehensive and practical advice to a range of health care professionals including paramedics, dentists and medical practitioners, as well as professional indemnity insurers and Medical Defence Organisations, regarding medical negligence litigation, medical indemnity policy coverage, and compliance and reporting obligations under the Health Practitioner Regulation National Law.
Tighan also acts for childcare operators in civil proceedings and in investigations and prosecutions under the Education and Care Services National Law as well as Community Housing Providers (CHPs) in complex residential tenancies matters and regulatory and compliance matters under the Community Housing Providers National Law.
Tighan holds a Masters Degree in Health Law from the University of Sydney and is a member of the Medico-Legal Society of NSW.
