Christina David

Christina has more than ten years of litigation experience, specialising in the defence of insurance and health law claims.

She has managed a diverse portfolio of complex, large-scale and multi-defendant matters, including defending clients within the Victorian healthcare sector including major public hospitals and medical practitioners. Christina’s experience spans both pre-litigated and litigated medical negligence claims and she has played a key role in numerous high-profile Coronial Inquests.

Her medical negligence practice is centred on managing claims on behalf of the Victorian Managed Insurance Authority (VMIA).

Christina is highly skilled in advocacy and case management and is experienced appearing in interlocutory applications and directions hearings in the County and Supreme Courts. She regularly represents clients at mediation, prepares and drafts medical panel referrals, and prepares strategic input in judicial review proceedings. She is also experienced in instructing at trial across the County, Supreme, and Magistrates’ Court.
