About Us

Established in 2004, Meridian Lawyers is a dynamic and innovative law firm with offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Newcastle, Brisbane and Perth. Clients look to our experienced and award winning team for advice in Insurance, Corporate & Commercial, Workplace Relations & Safety, Commercial Litigation & Dispute Resolution, and Health Law.

As one of the fastest growing law firms in Australia, the core of our approach at Meridian is delivering cost-effective legal services and understanding the key issues facing our clients. We work with industry leaders and regulators to adapt, reinvent and drive success into the future. At Meridian we genuinely set ourselves apart: not just in terms of what we do and how we do it, but also why we do it.

At the heart of it, we are people who are passionate about legal practice and helping others prosper. We look deeper, try to understand better and we ask more questions. Our lawyers are approachable, down-to-earth and caring and our team is committed to understanding your business and your issues. Ongoing education and training is vital to staying innovative in an evolving and highly regulated environment. We offer bespoke education programs and, wherever possible, seek opportunities to collaborate and share knowledge and lessons learned with our clients.

Meridian is passionate about diversity and promoting equity across the firm. We are an equal opportunities employer with a strong record of support for family-friendly policies. We effect diversity in practice, whether this is through provision of training, raising awareness, or maintaining an inclusive workplace environment. Meridian has adopted the Australian Law Council’s Diversity and Equality Charter to reflect the strength of our commitment.

IN THE COMMUNITY

We are well aware of the access to justice issues facing our community, particularly those individuals and organisations who cannot afford legal professional services. Meridian encourages our people to participate in the firm’s pro bono and corporate social responsibility initiatives. Our pro bono committee looks for opportunities for our lawyers to give back to the community by providing legal services. Many of our lawyers volunteer in community legal centres. Our staff also participate regularly in community based events for example, the annual treadmill challenge for our nominated charities, Very Special Kids and Cancer Council Australia.
