Aaron Smith

Aaron practises primarily in health law representing healthcare providers including medical, dental and allied health professionals in medical negligence claims, coronial investigations and inquests, disciplinary proceedings, and other statutory complaint processes.

He regularly appears in the Supreme Court of New South Wales, as well as the District and Local Courts, across a broad range of complex health matters, including claims involving catastrophic and severe injuries. He advises on tortious actions (including general and public liability), indemnity coverage issues, and claims arising under the Australian Consumer Law.

Before joining Meridian Lawyers, Aaron practised exclusively in the area of superannuation and life insurance, including total and permanent disability (TPD) claims. He managed both pre-litigated and litigated matters for claimants nationwide and was involved in proceedings at the Federal Court and various interstate courts.
