National law firm, Meridian Lawyers, announces a further expansion to its national insurance team with the addition of Principals Jacinta Long and Marcus O’Brien.
Jacinta Long, a defence and coverage expert in product liability/recall and general liability, brings over 25 years of expertise to Meridian’s Brisbane office. Her practice services the Australian, Japanese, and London markets, representing underwriters and large corporates. She regularly appears in complex, novel, and sensitive matters.
Jacinta joins Meridian from Clyde and Co with her team, including Special Counsel, Sarah Yau and Associate, Jackson Hayes.
Marcus O’Brien also joins from Clyde and Co and brings to Meridian his extensive experience across most lines of insurance. His practice has a strong focus on defending professional indemnity and D&O claims. He has acted for Australian and London market insurers on complex and challenging claims and coverage issues. His track record includes the successful resolution of significant professional indemnity and financial lines litigation including several class actions. Marcus joins Meridian’s Melbourne office.
