Ali has worked exclusively in insurance litigation since being admitted to practice, focusing on public liability, personal injury, and professional indemnity matters. She works with major Australian insurers and their insured clients in all areas of the sector, including local government, property owners and real estate agencies, small business, large retailers and supermarkets, hospitality and hotels, and occupiers of construction sites and warehouses. Ali also acts in workplace accident claims and recovery actions brought under the Accident Compensation Act and WIRC Act. She has also advised in discrete and complicated areas of liability and large quantum claims.
Ali manages litigation and regularly appears in various Victorian jurisdictions including the Supreme Court, County Court, Magistrates’ Court, and Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Ali advises insurers in various insurance disputes, including matters involving policy indemnity disputes, multiple insurers, and dual insurance. She has also managed subrogated recoveries on behalf of insurers.
