Matthew has more than 30 years’ experience managing insurance matters for a range of clients including insurers, self-insurers, brokers, underwriters, third-party providers, private companies, and publicly listed companies.

He specialises in the insurance areas of public and product liability, professional liability and indemnity, farm, accident and health, home and contents, landlord and strata, latent diseases, and workers’ compensation across a diverse range of industries.

With in-depth experience handling high-frequency claims, as well as dealing with complex and sensitive claims across multiple jurisdictions, Matthew has developed a reputation for his thorough and common-sense approach, and for delivering commercially sensible results to meet clients’ objectives. His ability to build close relationships with his clients has enabled him to gain a strong understanding of their individual business needs and the types of risks most common to their business.

Matthew has a keen interest in progressing alternative pricing strategies.

He is a member of the Australian Insurance Law Association.
