Rose Hopkins has a particular focus on the areas of health and insurance law. She holds a Bachelor of Law and a Bachelor of Science (majoring in Anatomy) from The University of Melbourne.

Rose has acted for health practitioners, private hospitals and public hospitals, defending medical negligence claims and in coronial investigations and regulatory investigations/prosecutions by AHPRA and Medicare. Rose has also provided an ‘on call’ service to health practitioners seeking urgent medico-legal advice without their needing to log a claim on their insurance policy.

Beyond health law, Rose has developed her knowledge and experience with regard to broad regulatory matters, including department investigations for childcare centers and veterinary practices. As well as this, Rose has experience in general public liability, defending fitness providers and supermarkets.

Prior to this time, Rose was a Judge’s Associate in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia for almost six years.
