Katie Thompson
Katie specialises in health and employment law. She advises pharmacists, medical practitioners, dental practitioners, and a range of allied health care professionals in disciplinary investigations conducted by statutory bodies and Local Health Districts.
Katie also advises clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including performance management, workplace investigations, dismissals, and employment disputes.
Katie’s experience extends to representing clients in complex claims involving unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, sexual harassment, and workplace bulling. She frequently appears before the Fair Work Commission and state and federal anti-discrimination tribunals.
Katie is an active member of the Newcastle Law Society management committee.
