Mary Ibrahim
With over a decade of experience in the legal profession, Mary’s career has been focused on employment law and workplace relations. She advises national clients across a wide range of sectors, including childcare, dental, veterinary, medical, pharmaceutical, retail, and professional services.
Mary’s practice includes a broad range of employment law matters including advisory work and litigation. She regularly assists clients with performance management, disciplinary processes, redundancies, workplace investigations, complaints, dismissals, and other employment disputes. Mary’s practice also includes the review and drafting of employment contracts and independent contractor agreements, and advising on modern awards and enterprise agreements.
Her significant litigation experience includes representing clients in complex claims involving unfair dismissal, general protections, discrimination, sexual harassment, and workplace bullying. She frequently appears before the Fair Work Commission, the Federal Court, the Federal Circuit and Family Court, and state and federal anti-discrimination tribunals.
In recent years, Mary has developed a strong relationship with a leading medical defence organisation, advising on employment-related matters and supporting the upskilling of their internal team to respond to complex workplace relations enquiries from members.
